Community Reflective Space - Officially Opened 15 June
Enabled by a grant from Surrey County Council, the transformation of St Mary’s Copse is almost complete, and a beautiful area has opened up to become a community reflective space for all to enjoy. The Wild Bunch volunteers have made a long winding pathway and with occasional help, including from the Brownies, have planted over 400 small trees from the Woodland Trust. Many indigenous wild flowers have been planted under the guidance of Frances Halstead from Surrey Wildlife Trust. The Copse was officially opened by the Bishop of Dorking the Right Reverend Ian Brackley on Sunday 15 June.
Our volunteers continue to work hard enhancing so many aspects of the Churchyard and copse so please do pop by for a moment of quiet and it is our prayer that the space as a whole may prove a blessing for all the Community
Recently fresh volunteers have tended the famous gravespaces of our Churchyard and we would love to hear back from you with any comments or offers of help - perhaps you too might be able to be a 'Garden Angel'?
