Our very own Godfrey Chapples will be taking to the track at Sheerwater Athletic Club on Sunday 12th September to complete a magnificent "bionic walk" in aid of The Friends of Woking Community Hospital. Both of Godfrey's knees were replaced in 2008 and he intends to put them to good use with a few laps of the track in order to raise much needed funds for the hospital that helped him so much with his physiotherapy.
