There will be a special prayer day at St John's Church, Windlesham, on Saturday 25th September from 9.30am to 4pm, featuring a wide choice of workshops. Contact Anne Haring or Sally Hodson if you would like more information of if you would like to attend. There is an attendance fee of £5. |

There will be another sewing session to repair kneelers on Monday 13th September. If you would like to help, contact Jean Bowyer for more information or simply meet at the church hall flat at 2pm on the day. |

Our very own Godfrey Chapples will be taking to the track at Sheerwater Athletic Club on Sunday 12th September to complete a magnificent "bionic walk" in aid of The Friends of Woking Community Hospital. Both of Godfrey's knees were replaced in 2008 and he intends to put them to good use with a few laps of the track in order to raise much needed funds for the hospital that helped him so much with his physiotherapy. Please support Godfrey with your generous sponsorship of his epic trek - sponsor forms can be obtained through the church office or direct from Godfrey himself. For all who are interested in our church music, Roger Peach, a consultant with the Music & Worship Foundation, is coming to run a music and worship training day in church on Saturday 13th November, 10am to 4pm. Bring your voice, or the instrument of your choice, for a fun day of learning, worshipping and socialising. There is a fee of £5. For more information, contact Liz Gathercole. The St Mary's Church Women's and Men's Groups are co-hosting a HARVEST BARN DANCE in the Church Hall on Saturday 25th September, with dancing to the Grassroots Bluegrass Band. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 5-15, to include a light supper. Order your tickets now from Joan Waide or Kate Laver. |
